The successful developer revealed the latest information about the forthcoming Honkai Star Rail 1.2 upgrade titled "Even Immortality Ends" on Saturday.

The 1.2 version will be released on July 19th. The update will conclude the Xianzhou Luofu storyline and introduce three new playable characters (Blade, Kafka, and Luka). The following is what the press release says about the forthcoming iteration.
"When Dan Heng eventually reunites with the Astral Express Crew in Version 1.2, the team will witness Xianzhou Luofu drowning in a setback that threatens the Alliance's fate. The Trailblazers must overcome a number of obstacles and investigate two new regions, the Alchemy Commission and the Scalegorge Waterscape, where decisive battles await. The players will reach the heart of the Stellaron catastrophe and unearth concealed truths buried within this enormous Silkpunk flagship.

Blade, a mysterious Stellaron Hunter, is set to join the roster of playable characters, and as events unravel, Trailblazers will learn more about his backstory. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Blade was granted eternal life, allowing his body to recover from grievous illnesses and injuries, and the bandages he wears serve a greater purpose than mere aesthetics.
Blade, a five-star Wind-type character who follows the Path of Destruction, gains a competitive advantage in combat by expending his own HP in order to deal greater damage to enemies and obtain the upper hand.
In addition to Blade, another highly anticipated Stellaron Hunters character will finally join the playable roster. Kafka entered the world on Pteruges-V, a planet whose inhabitants had no concept of dread. Due to her inability to experience the emotion of dread, she was unable to comprehend the significance of life. As a five-star Lightning-type follower of the Path of Nihility, Kafka demonstrates her fortitude by dealing additional damage to foes over time.
Her Ability inflicts multiple targets with Lightning damage. If an opponent is already suffering from Damage over Time, they will take additional damage during their turn and after Kafka's attack. Her Ultimate, on the other hand, inflicts Lightning damage on all foes, with a chance to Shock them and deal additional damage instantly to those who are already Shocked.
After his debut at the mid-year Summer Game Fest in June 2023, Luka the Belobog-born and -bred hero will shortly enter the game and become available for player recruitment. As a valued member of Wildfire and Oleg's apprentice, Luka protects the inhabitants of the Underworld with his strength, optimism, and carefree attitude.
