The UAE has achieved the top position in the Arab world and climbed two spots to rank 29th globally in UNIDO's Competitive Industrial Performance Index (CIP).

Consistently ranking in the top quintile of the CIP, the UAE demonstrates its significance in the regional and global industrial sector. Within the CIP, specific indices have shown improvements for the UAE. The country moved up in Industrial Export Quality, Share of Manufacturing Value Added in GDP, Share of Manufacturing Exports in Total Exports, and Manufacturing Export per Capita indices.
