Commencing on Wednesday, this move aims to enhance the travel experience for customers transiting in Dubai between the Americas on Air Canada and various destinations in the Middle East, Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia, and Africa on Emirates. The shift to Terminal 3 promises seamless connectivity and expedited services, allowing passengers to remain in the same terminal throughout their journey.
Strengthening the Emirates and Air Canada Partnership
The co-location of Air Canada at Emirates Terminal 3 in Dubai marks an important milestone in the partnership between the two airlines. Adnan Kazim, Emirates' chief commercial officer, expressed delight in welcoming Air Canada to the terminal, emphasizing the value it brings to travelers. With this arrangement, Air Canada passengers can enjoy a smooth connection experience when transiting in Dubai, gaining access to Emirates' extensive global network. Eligible travelers can also avail themselves of Emirates' signature business class lounges and other hub facilities before their flights. The relocation to Terminal 3 holds significance for Air Canada's operations between the UAE and Canada, further solidifying the partnership between Emirates and Air Canada. Mark Galardo, executive vice-president of network and revenue planning at Air Canada, expressed gratitude to both Emirates and Dubai Airports for facilitating this move, which will immensely benefit their mutual customers. Enhanced Travel Options and Loyalty Programs
The partnership between Emirates and Air Canada has seen remarkable expansion since November 2022. They have broadened their codeshare relationship to encompass 42 routes, strengthened their underlying interline agreement, and introduced a reciprocal loyalty partnership allowing customers to earn and redeem points. Moreover, the cooperation between their Cargo businesses has been enhanced, while both airlines have increased capacity into their respective hubs. Air Canada has further strengthened its ties by developing a partnership with Emirates' sister-airline, flydubai.
Premium Perks for Aeroplan and Skywards Members
Members of Aeroplan and Skywards loyalty programs can now collect and redeem points when traveling with Air Canada or Emirates. Additionally, eligible customers gain access to priority check-in, priority boarding, and exclusive airport lounges. The collaboration between the two airlines continues to foster a seamless travel experience, providing passengers with added benefits and privileges throughout their journeys.
Emirates and Air Canada Continue to Expand Their Collaboration
Emirates launched its daily Boeing 777 service between Montreal and Dubai in July, complementing its expanded daily Airbus A380 schedule between Toronto and Dubai. On the other hand, Air Canada is gearing up to commence its new non-stop four times weekly flights between Dubai and Vancouver on October 30, 2023, utilizing its flagship Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet. This route will complement Air Canada's existing daily service between Toronto and Dubai, further enhancing the connectivity options available to travelers.
