Since this franchise debuted in March 2018, the source material has become one of the best-selling mangas of all time, and the anime is shattering all kinds of records as well, most recently with the release of the prequel film Jujutsu Kaisen 0.
But what will Yuji and the crew do next? Join us here at Digital Spy as we discuss what to expect from Jujutsu Kaisen's upcoming second season.
The premiere of the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen aired on July 6, 2023. In March, the official Jujutsu Kaisen Twitter account confirmed the release date alongside the extended teaser trailer you can view above.
Crunchyroll later confirmed that the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen will be available for global subscribers one hour after each episode airs in Japan.
The news follows previous announcements regarding the structure of the upcoming season. At an event celebrating the 10th anniversary of production company TOHO in September 2022, we learned that the second season will be released in two parts, or cours, each focusing on a distinct arc from the manga. This split-course strategy is comparable to the publication schedule of other anime series, such as SPY x FAMILY.
