The audiences that we tested with unanimously favoured the ending that was left open-ended.
The open-ended conclusion of "John Wick: Chapter 4" has left many viewers wondering whether or not Keanu Reeves will appear in the fifth installment of the "John Wick" film series. Given that Reeves and Stahelski toyed with the idea of directly confirming John's survival at the conclusion of "Chapter 4," it is now more likely that there will be a "John Wick 5" installment.

I really have no idea. But I don't think we've put ourselves in any kind of a bind by the time this movie is over, regardless of whether or not he's still alive."
It's quite unlikely that Lionsgate is ready to say goodbye to Reeves just yet. With its massive opening weekend of $73.5 million, "John Wick: Chapter 4" shattered previous franchise records and propelled the John Wick film series above the $1 billion mark at box offices around the world. The "John Wick" movie franchise will continue in 2024 with the spinoff "Ballerina," which stars Ana de Armas and also has Keanu Reeves' assassin in a supporting role. This will occur regardless of whether or not a fifth film in the series is produced.
